Alice P. Clark
Alice P. Clark, a longtime Rockaway resident, died September 16.
Clark was born in Brooklyn, New York. She worked as a secretary and moved to Rockaway 33 years ago. Clark was an active member of St. Thomas More Church for 25 years serving as a CCD teacher, lector and rosarian. She was also a member of the golden age and arts and crafts clubs. She was also a former member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Brooklyn, New York.
Clark was preceded in death by her husband Thomas M.; brothers, John, Patrick and Michael Broderick; and sister,
She is survived by her sons, John M. and Thomas J.; daughters, Marie McGarry, Rosemary Clerkin, Alice Clarke and Patricia Butler-Mitchell; brother, William Broderick; sister, Mary Brosnan; 19 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Denis S. O’Connor Funeral Home, Rockaway Beach. A funeral mass took place at St. Thomas More Church, Rockaway Point. Interment followed at St. John’s Cemetery, Middle Village, New York.
