Indaculture Conquers Ireland
Well known here in Rockaway, the versatile and talented musicians known as Indaculture made a splash across the Atlantic as they rounded out a recent mini-tour of Ireland.
Successfully playing various venues, Matt Allen, Jenna Baker, Bobby Butler and Danny Mulvanerty and videographer Casey Brouder traveled the country and also enjoyed the Emerald Isle’s sights between performances.
Their trip was topped off by an appearance at the nationally renowned Le Cheile Arts & Music Festival in Oldcastle, County Meath. Showcased as invited guests on a roster which included some of Ireland’s most wellknown musical acts, Indaculture greatly impressed their Irish hosts.
Now in its 14th year, the Cheile Festival brings together all art forms, including music, art, drama and literature. Presenting both performances and interactive activities for all ages, it draws upward of 10,000 people to the town and area each year.
Indaculture’s introduction to Festival organizers was facilitated through a connection made by the Rockaway Artists Alliance. The RAA, some of whose members also traveled to Ireland, is considering more fully participating in next year’s Festival.
