First-Time Home Buyer’s Seminar

By Miriam Rosenberg

The Far Rockaway Library will host a First-Time Home Buyer’s Assistance Program on September 22, 6:30 p.m.-8 p.m. at the library, 1637 Central Avenue.

The seminar is sponsored by Chase Bank, and is, according to the Chase website, “designed to provide information about buying a home to individuals who are purchasing a home for the first time or who have a lower income. Seminars are delivered by bank loan officers at local branches or in partnership with community-based organizations to put prospective buyers on the path to homeownership.” A question and answer session will follow the program.

Michael Latella, a loan officer at the Chase Bank on Beach 19 Street, will conduct the seminar.

In 2010, Chase sponsored more than 600 homebuyer and financial education workshops reaching approximately 10,000 people.
