Weprin Truly Cares
I am writing today to address all voters of the 9th Congressional District.
I met David Weprin in 2001. He is dedicated and compassionate toward his constituents. I was able to discuss with him issues concerning discrimination against the elderly and people with disabilities. He recently sponsored and assisted in passing legislation for autism and a legislative package aimed at improving safety measures in the New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities, state licensed facilities, as well as many other programs.
David Weprin, served as chairperson for the finance committee and is currently my assemblyman in District 24. He comes from a family devoted to the betterment of the community that they serve, with a combined public service nearing 50 years. The late Saul Weprin, his father, was a former speaker of the New York Assembly, while his brother, Mark Weprin, is currently councilman for District 23. We will surely miss him, and District 9 will benefit.
