He has played and recorded with many of the rock era’s most notable musicians including Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, George Harrison and Fleetwood Mac. He also wrote the 1967 classic Traffic single release, “Hole in My Shoe.” His solo debut, Alone Together, featured “Only You Know and I Know,” “Shouldn’t Have Took More Than You Gave,“ “Sad and Deep As You,“ “World in Changes,“ and “Look at You, Look at Me.“ His 1974 self titled album featured “Show Me Some Affection,” as well as Bob Dylan’s “All Along the Watchtower.” Certified Live was released in 1976 and displayed his vast talents as songwriter, arranger, vocalist and guitarist. His 1977 album Let It Flow featured his highest charting single, “We Just Disagree,” which was written by Jim Krueger. He performs approximately 100 shows with the Dave Mason Band per year.
The Yardbirds, featuring original members drummer Jim McCarty and rhythm guitarist/bassist Chris Dreja, was one of the most historically influential bands in the history of rock ‘n’ roll. The “blues”-influenced music they created spawned classic rock hits such as “For Your Love,” “Heart Full of Soul,” “I’m a Man,” and “Shapes of Things.” The Yardbirds are perhaps best known for past members Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck. The band was inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame in 1992.
