PHC Auxiliary Welcomes Special Guest
The Peninsula Hospital Center Auxiliary welcomed Alan Geller, former resident of Rockaway and author of “Scary Diagnosis,” as the guest speaker at its July 5 meeting. He spoke to the group about how he took charge of his health and his life after a very frightening diagnosis. After Geller’s presentation, he responded to many questions from the members of the audience. The author was accompanied by his wife, Debra Goodwin, president of Aloette Cosmetics of Oakville, Ontario, who assisted with the presentation. Robert V. Levine, president and Chief Executive Officer of PHC, also addressed the group and highlighted new programs and services including new xray technology in the Emergency Room, new SPECT camera in Nuclear Medicine, new inpatient dialysis technology and the FastTrak System in the Emergency Department. Next month, on August 2, the PHC Auxiliary will be drawing its Super Raffle 2011 prize winning tickets. The following prizes will be awarded: Grand Prize - $2,000; Second Prize - $1,000; Third Prize - $1,000; Fourth Prize - $500; Fifth Prize - $500; Sixth Prize - $250; and Seventh Prize - $250.
