The Inner Voice

Commentary by Marilyn Gelfand

When we have the ability to feel our cleansed positive energy, it is a truly wonderful and balancing feeling which can be brought in with meditation. The more we do relax and allow energy to fill our bodies, the more wonderful we feel. While many feel there is chaos in the world of nature, really it is very orderly. People all follow the same patterns of baby to old age, the seasons are regular with minor variations, and all of nature follows its own patterns of life. Using our inner senses of vision, hearing, prophecy, feeling and healing can allow us to experience beautiful images and get information that might be helpful in understanding our lives. We can tap into the divine order of things.

There are energies that surround those of us who know the purpose of our lives and what we are supposed to be learning in our circumstances. It is important for we who do meditate to cleanse our minds, bodies and spirits and the places where we are opening ourselves up.

We can imagine a white tornado or use a prayer to ensure that the energy is from a positive source. We actually can feel the change when our spirits are cleansed, like a shower for the body. Many things that are chaotic are because of what people have done, but not nature itself.

If individuals build homes on a river bank that tends to overflow, those people will have flooding. Why people live in earthquake zones or volcanic mountains is a personal choice. They are aware of the possibilities.

I remember learning that the dustbowls in the Midwest occurred when ranchers wanted land for grazing rather than forests. A lot of land was opened up, and tornadoes occurred there more frequently.

I was walking along the beach and noticing that the sandpipers and horseshoe crabs were so much fewer than they used to be. We can’t lament about nature without looking at what has changed in the interaction with people. Energy, on the other hand, is freely available to all who take the same to fill themselves up with good thoughts and openness. We may get some good ideas or suggestions while we are sitting quietly or even walking along the beach.
