Surfers, skateboarders and locals hit Rockaway’s boardwalk and beach on Beach 90 Street last Saturday for the 5th Annual RockStock and Barrels, sponsored by, among others, the Parks Department and Boarders Skate and Surf Shop. Approximately 15 vendors displayed everything from bathing suits to surfboards and skateboard equipment. Bands provided live entertainment throughout the afternoon. An after-party was held at the Irish Circle.

“It was an amazing day for surfers and skaters, and we had a record number of bands and crowd attendance,” said Jill Weber, the Parks administrator for Rockaway.
