Public School/Middle School 225 Celebrates Cinco De Mayo

Seaside school PS/MS 225 students celebrated Cinco de Mayo, appropriately, on May 5. This Mexican celebration commemorates the Battle of Puebla and Mexico’s victory over the French in 1862. Mrs. Vasquez coordinated the students’ celebration in the school’s library. The celebration consisted of viewing Mexican artifacts, listening to Mexican music, and indulging in a Mexican feast. This feast included Mrs. Vasquez’s home-cooked Mexican food such as: rice, beans, tacos, and nachos. Seaside school PS/MS 225 students celebrated Cinco de Mayo, appropriately, on May 5.
