Sr. Jeanne Kevin Barkey CSJ, a Rockaway resident, died May 17.

Barkey was born in Ireland. She moved to Rockaway from Hempstead, New York four years ago. She was a religious high school teacher formerly of Sacred Heart Academy in Hempstead, New York.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Denis S. O’Connor Funeral Home, Rockaway Beach. A funeral mass took place at St. Camillus Church, Rockaway Park. Interment followed at Calvary Cemetery, Brentwood, New York.
