The May 14 party took place at the Dog Run next to the Rockaway Freeway on Beach 83 Street. A North Shore Animal League mobile trailer brought several dogs that were up for adoption, while inside the mobile ASCPA animal clinic dogs were spayed or neutered. Information from Frontline and Heartgard was available for dog owners about problems such as ticks. Also, the competition was hot and heavy as prizes were awarded for the dog and human who performed the best dog tricks.
