PHC Sets National Women’s Health Week

May 8, 2011 through May 14, 2011 is recognized as National Women’s Health Week and Peninsula Hospital Center, in order to give women in the community an opportunity to focus on their own health as they go about their days, is providing free health screenings in the lobby of the Hospital Center during the entire week.

Peninsula Hospital Center will feature free screenings and information as follows from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Hospital lobby:

Monday: Dental Screenings, Opthalmology (Vision Testing and Glaucoma Screenings) and Podiatry Screenings.
Tuesday: Stroke Screening, Blood Pressure Screenings, BMIs, Free AngioScreens,
Food and Nutrition Cooking Demonstrations and Nutrition Information to Stay
Active and Healthy.
Wednesday: Glucose Screenings, Diabetes Information, Smoking Cessation.
Thursday: Women’s Health Issues, Menopause, Cervical Cancer, Safe Sex,
Osteoarthritis, Breast Cancer.
Friday: Blood Pressure Screenings and Glucose Screenings.

No appointments are necessary. Just stop by and find out how you, as a busy and active woman of today, can take care of your body to stay healthy.
