The BCAC Shamrocks fourth grade AAU basketball team traveled to Montclair State College in New Jersey and played in the B-Ball Easter Tournament Shootout on Saturday, April 23. The Shamrocks were coming off a tournament championship at Hooperstown on April 10.

The boys faced New York Storm from Brewster, NY in the first round. The Shamrocks won 14-8 with Seamus O’Connell and Conor Bradwisch leading the scorers with 4 points apiece.

In the semifinals, the Shamrocks faced City Sports from New Jersey. The game went back and forth until John Baroudos hit a last minute free throw to give the Shamrocks an 11-10 victory. Bryan Bostwick led all scorers with 6 points.

BCAC would now face the Manalapan Heat from New Jersey. Head coach Billy Hofmann was missing his two “big men,” Shawn Cavanagh (out sick) and Jimmy Corrigan (knee injury).
