Mure Presents PHC With $12K
On Saturday, April 2, Joe Muré Jr., Esq., member, Peninsula Hospital Center Board of Directors, presented a check in the amount of $12,500 to Peninsula Hospital Center to strengthen its Pediatric Diabetes Center. Robert V. Levine, president and chief executive officer of PHC along with Constance Stewart, M.D., Pediatric Endocrinologist, accepted the check on behalf of the Hospital Center. “It is so meaningful that this donation comes from such a wonderful grassroots community endeavor,” said Levine. “Mr. Muré, along with his family, friends, neighbors, Rockaway community and colleagues, does such an incredible job of including everyone in the Little North Pole experience. His generosity is truly a gift that goes on giving to so many of our young people with diabetes and enables them to receive comprehensive diabetes care at PHC.” Muré’s donation assists the Hospital Center in providing specialized pediatric endocrinology services through the Family Health Center. Since 2004, Muré’s efforts have resulted in donations to the Hospital Center’s Pediatric Diabetes Center in the amount of $163,000.
