Auxiliary Makes Donation
Robert V. Levine, president and chief executive officer of Peninsula Hospital Center, accepted a check in the amount of $30,000 from the PHC Auxiliary at the group’s April meeting. “We need our Hospital Center to thrive and grow,” said Sheila Schwartz, the group’s president. “It is our pleasure to be able to help out and give back to our hospital – a hospital that has helped each and every one of us at some point.” Levine intends to utilize the donation to expand the Emergency Department services at the Hospital Center. “Our Emergency Department volume has grown substantially during the past few years and we need to expand our services to include a FastTrak,” explains Levine. “We are confident that a FastTrak will assist us in expediting our patients through the Emergency Department and we are extremely grateful to the Auxiliary for its assistance. We know how much time and effort went into this fundraising campaign
The PHC Auxiliary has contributed more than $70,000 to various programs and services at the Hospital Center since 2009 including Outpatient Chemotherapy Department and Cancer Care services.
