K Of C Hosts Corporate Communion Breakfast
On Sunday, April 10, members of the Knights of Columbus Monsignor William F. Burke Council #2672 and the Columbiettes gathered for their annual Corporate Communion Breakfast. Members and guests attended mass at St. Francis de Sales and were led in prayer by Father Bryan Carney. After mass, members of the Council gathered at St. Camillus Church for a procession back to the Council. The Procession was led by the County Tyrone Pipes and Drums Band, as well as the 4th Degree Honor Guard of the Knights of Columbus. Guest speaker was Msg. Vincent Keane. Awards were presented by the Grand Knight John Gillespie to the County Tyrone Pipe Band and the American Legion Daniel M. O’Connell Post # 272 for their continued support of the Knights of Columbus.
Awards were also presented to the Knight of the Year, John Onorato, for his continued work supporting Council efforts and the #2672 award was presented to Egil “Tito” Hernandez for his dedication throughout the year, as well as his award-winning chili which helped the K of C win the 100 Precinct Community Council’s Youth Committee Chili Contest.
