Venetian Blind Bus Stop Beatdown Leads To Arrest
A woman grabbed a wand from her window blinds and went downstairs and allegedly beat a woman standing in front of a bus stop outside Carlton Manor last Tuesday evening, according to police.
Quanisha Reyes, 23, beat the woman at the Beach 71 Street and Beach Channel Drive bus stop at around 7 p.m. According to police, Reyes spotted the unidentified victim at the bus stop and shouted to the rival, “Next time I see you, you’ll see what happens,” according to court papers.
That’s when Reyes went upstairs to her apartment and came back down with the window blind wand, beating the woman in the face several times, according to the victim. Police responded to the scene and recovered the wand. They later arrested Reyes and charged her with second-degree assault, fourthdegree criminal possession of a weapon and harassment, according to court papers. She was arraigned in Queens Criminal Court and released without bail. She is due back in court on April 6.
