Marilyn Marie Holland-Mays
Marilyn Marie Holland-Mays, a longtime Rockaway resident, died February 4.
Holland-Mays was born in Memphis, Tennessee. She worked as a nurse’s aide.
Holland-Mays was preceded in death by her father, Walter Holland Sr.
She is survived by her mother Murrylene Holland; husband, Clea Mays; children, Dwight (Genae), Tasheena (Maurice), Samuel, Kisha, Shareka (David), Cleveland, Dwayne, Dwight, Tiana (Tyrone), Derek, and Nicole; grandchildren, Dashawn, Rashawn, Iranna, Charae, Samantha, Derrick, Toni, Destiny, Mya, Daheem, Breianna, David and Darius; brothers, Arron of Detroit, Stanley, Tony and Walter Jr. all of Far Rockaway; sisters, Ida, Dollar, Theresa, Doris, and Christine; brothers in-law, Michael West, Moore (Pee- Wee) Jenkins and Gary Cook; and one special nephew she raised, Edward O’Connor (Jr.).; friend, John Bryant (Snap) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jeremiah C. Gaffney Friendship Chapel, Inwood, New York. Interment took place at Forest Park Cemetery, Morganville, New Jersey.
