Eric A. Ulrich
Eric A. Ulrich was born and raised in Ozone Park, Queens. He attended P.S. 63 (Old South), and Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary catholic elementary school. He graduated from Cathedral Preparatory Seminary High School, and became the first member of his family to go to college.
Eric was awarded a full college scholarship thanks in part to the generosity of the Franciscan Brothers of Brooklyn. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from St. Francis College where he also met the former Yadira M. Moran of Manhattan’s Lower East Side. The two were married on November 20, 2009.
On February 24, 2009, Eric Ulrich won the City Council Special Election in District #32, and was re-elected in the November General Election of that same year. At 25, he is currently the youngest serving member of the council and serves as Minority Whip of the Republican delegation.
Eric and Yadira live in Ozone Park with their Yorkshire terrier “Tiny.”
