PS/MS 105 Kids Care Club Highlights

PS/MS 105’s Community Service Leaders (CSL) team spoke to various classes about Dr. Martin Luther King and listened to students share their dreams. Under the guidance of Ms. Allende, the school was filled with banners of dreams from students, pre-k through 8, to celebrate Dr. King’s dream. Students from classes 3-202, 5-320 and 6-312 created Valentine’s cards and CLS volunteers put together Valentine Survival Kits, a bag containing the cards and candies. Some members of the team, accompanied by Social Studies teacher Thomas Krieger and Art teacher Norma Allende, presented the gifts to the residents at Peninsula Center for Extended Care and Rehabilitation. It was a wonderful experience for the children and the recipients, who showed great appreciation for the unselfish gesture on the part of the kids who volunteered.
