On Sunday February 6, four girls from NY Novas Track and Field Club Far Rockaway Team took part in MAC Championship, indoor track meets at Suffolk Community College in Brentwood, NY.

This meet was administered by the USATF Metropolitan and USATF Long Island, so the teams from NYC and Long Island were able to compete against each other.

Novas runner Jacqueline Saunders (age 13) ran in the 400-meter Youth Division race and finished fourth with a time of 1:13.81. Her younger sister, Tanya Saunders (age 12), also raced in the 400-meters and finished in 1:20.00.

Their little sister Keeaira Saunders (age 7) competed in the 400-meter race as well.

She finished with a time of 1:31.69, came in fourth overall in the bantam division and was awarded with a medal.

Last, but not least, Jade Smith raced in the 55-meter dash and 200-meter dash. Smith finished her 55-meter in 9.99 and the 200-meter dash in 40.00.
