Bayswater Meeting

Dear Editor,

Due to an article published in The Wave of January 21,that was not sent by nor verified by the Bayswater Civic Association was a host meeting, at the Bayswater Jewish Center, for the residents of Bayswater to discuss their concerns. Therefore the residents were notified by direct mail that such a meeting would take place, Since the Mayor’s visit was to be a short one there was no way questions come from the floor and so the Board of Directors decided that they would select the most important issues and ask them of the Mayor and his commissioners first. Residents were asked to submit their questions, some of them were asked at the meeting, and the rest of them were submitted to the Mayor’s office and are expected to be answered by them. Some 70 questions were raised with regard to orgin. The mayor’s visit was announced by his office in their usual Public Relations release. The public is never excluded from our open meetings held quarterly and we welcomed all those who attended.

ENID GLABMAN
PRESIDENT, BCA
