Cops Seek Public’s Assistance
Police consider Jerry Colston, 36, dangerous and ask that anyone who sees him call 911 immediately. Last week, Colston allegedly called his estranged wife from his cell phone telling her he was coming to “blow her f***king head off.”
He made the call minutes after fleeing a New York City courtroom when he discovered there was a warrant for his arrest as per a violation of an active protection, police said. He was in family court for a custody hearing involving an ex-wife, according to Corporal Michael Daily, who is leading the investigation in Pennsylvania. It was prior to the hearing that his lawyer informed him there were warrants out for his arrest in Delaware County when he ran out.
According to Daily, Colston has a history of threatening both his estranged wife and his former wife.
Daily says Colston has made more than 124 threatening phone calls to his estranged wife, a violation of the order of protection. There are currently 127 contempt charges filed against Colston, each carrying a possible 6-month jail sentence. Anyone who sees Colston, or knows of his whereabouts is urged to call 911 immediately or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
