Wind, Rain, Cold Do Not Deter Cystic Fibrosis Plungers
Many firefighters and police divers attended to safeguard the participants.
A cold, hard rain did not deter more than 250 people from running across the snowcovered beach at Beach 90 Street and plunging into the freezing ocean on Saturday. The event, a fundraiser for cystic fibrosis, went off on time despite the weather. Pictured: a band entertained before the plunge.
