Man Jumps Into Jamaica Bay



An unidentified 37-year-old man jumped from the Broad Channel train station into Jamaica Bay on Wednesday morning. Police say the man was spotted jumping into the bay by a New York City Transit Authority conductor as the A train approached the station. Police declined to speculate as to why the man jumped or if he was attempting to commit suicide. Police responded to the scene with the Emergency Services Unit and retrieved the man from the water.
