PHC Auxiliary Helps Again

Peggy DeMatteis, executive board member of the Peninsula Hospital Center Auxiliary, did personal shopping for the Butterflies by the Sea Hospice Care Unit at PHC. New bedside lamps, wall clocks and other home-like decorations were shopped for, purchased and delivered by DeMatteis on behalf of the PHC Auxiliary. The Butterflies by the Sea, Hospice Care Unit at PHC provides comprehensive, compassionate care in a comfortable inpatient setting designed to feel more like home and this most recent Auxiliary donation added even more of a home-like quality to the patient rooms. “It is always a pleasure to give time and energy to a project that is so appreciated and helps others,” said DeMatteis. “It makes all the effort and fundraising worthwhile.” Photo: left to right: Peggy DeMatteis and Laura Rayder, R.N.
