Woman Brutally Arrested

Dear Editor,

A friend of mine told me that you did a story about the police locking up a woman on Shorefront Parkway for not picking up after her dog.

I saw the incident that morning as I was on my way to work. It was really terrible.

The way the two officers were handling the situation and the way she was being treated was like she was a crackhead or a criminal, not a regular person out walking her dog.

It really bothered me the way they were trying to put her into the vehicle, slamming the door on her legs and pushing her into the vehicle. I come from a family where you are either a policemen, firemen, or steamfitter.

It was really terrible to see the way these officers were acting. I remember that some of the people standing there were talking to the officers, asking them what they were doing, and I could here someone calling out her name, Brenda.

These cops were way out of hand. No matter what she did she shouldn’t have been treated like a dog. I worked in corrections for years and we would have been fired if we ever treated an inmate like that.
