The Jewish Association for Services for the Aged (JASA) at 106-20 Shorefront Parkway in Rockaway Park, under the direction of Fay Schwimmer, brought delighted smiles to the faces of patients in the Angels on the Bay Pediatric Unit at Peninsula Hospital Center. Over the holidays, the group brought toys, games, books and other goodies – along with Santa himself – to visit the children and give out gifts. “We had never seen the Angels on the Bay Pediatric Unit before and it was beautiful,” commented Schwimmer. “The underwater theme is perfect, the staff was so accommodating and we are so glad that we could help make the children’s holiday a little better.”
