Corrections Officer Arrested For DWI

A Rockaway Park resident and New York City Corrections officer was arrested last weekend for allegedly driving while drunk, according to Queens District Attorney Richard Brown.

Lotus Licciardi, 38, was pulling out of the parking lot of 106-20 Short Front Parkway when police witnessed him fail to put on his directional signal when making a right turn onto Shore Front Parkway. Police pulled Licciardi over at approximately 3:15 a.m. on Sunday and noticed he had bloodshot eyes and smelled of alcohol. A bottle of vodka was recovered from the vehicle, according to court papers. He was arraigned at Queens Criminal Court on charges of driving drunk and released on his own recognizance.
