On December 10 Peninsula Hospital Center continued the holiday tradition of its Ambulatory Chemotherapy program when both patients and “graduates” of the program joined with friends and family to celebrate the many gifts of life. Each attendee received a large holiday bag filled with “lots of goodies” and a wonderful luncheon. Santa Claus also stopped in for a visit in the bearded form of a very jolly John Ward, a cancer survivor, Ambulatory Chemotherapy program graduate and now a volunteer at the Hospital Center. The Hospital Center’s Ambulatory Chemotherapy program patients become a family during the course of their treatment and each year at this time, this special family takes a special day to celebrate.
