Cops Arrest Arverne Shooter
A Hammels teen wanted for allegedly shooting a rival in the foot in September was apprehended by police last week and charged with attempted murder. Bernard Pelzer, 19, reportedly encountered the victim at the intersection of Beach 56 Street and Arverne Boulevard in the early morning hours of September 25. After a brief altercation he allegedly fired several shots in the victim’s direction, one of which grazed his left foot. Pelzer was arraigned on second-degree charges of criminal possession of a weapon and attempted murder. Bail was set at $10,000.
