Cooking Chili For A Good Cause

The 100 Precinct Youth Committee will be hosting their second annual chili cook-off on Friday, January 14, at The Knights of Columbus Hall in Rockaway Beach from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Some of Rockaway’s best chili will be showcased when it’s cooked up by local merchants and residents. Tickets are $10.00 in advance and $12 at the door. All proceeds will go to the 100 Precinct Youth Committee activities and the St. Camillus Special Olympics. The Youth Committee hosts several after school programs such as their weekly chess club at several schools along the peninsula. The entrants will be judged by 100 Precinct Community Affairs officers. The Knights of Columbus is sponsoring the evening and tickets can be purchased by calling 100 Precinct Youth Committee Chairperson Linda Ruscillo at 718-474-6145. Ruscillo can also be contacted about entering into the cook-off.
