West End Teen Recycles Electronics

As a Bat Mitzvah project, 13-year-old Casey Stabiner is sponsoring an electronics recycling drive this Sunday, December 19, at the West End Temple. “Since my project is based on renewal, none of the electronics will be thrown into land fill, but will be recycled and remade,” Stabiner says. The recycling event will take place on December 19, from Noon - 4:00 p.m. and Stabiner will be collecting small electronics including cell phones, iPods, printers, DVD players, cables, copiers, keyboards, typewriters, and radios. Stabiner will also be accepting computer screens and televisions, but there will be a fee to recycle these items. Those interested in recycling their discarded electronics should bring them to the Nagin Auditorium at West End Temple 147-02 Newport Avenue in Neponsit. Those interested in more information, should call the Temple Office at 718-634-0301.
