St. Rose Of Lima Lights First Tree
The Christmas season is a time to remember our loved ones, living and deceased. This year St. Rose of Lima had its first Christmas Tree Lighting, after the 5:00 p.m. mass on Saturday. More than 50 parishioners braving the cold winter weather sang Christmas carols and hymns led by Grace Matubis. Monsignor James Spengler led the parishioners in prayer and blessed the Christmas tree and introduced the new Intention Prayer Board with names of loved ones. The tree was lit to commemorate those listed on the Board. A guest appearance was made by Santa Claus, hot chocolate and cookies were served.
