Teen Shot In Early Morning Hours On Mott Avenue

By Miriam Rosenberg

A Rockaway teen was shot during the early morning hours of December 12, near the Far Rockaway business district, according to the police.

A police source told The Wave that at approximately 12:05 a.m. last Saturday morning, an 18- year-old man was shot in front of 1502 Mott Avenue.

The unidentified victim sustained one bullet wound to the upper right thigh and was transported to Jamaica Hospital. The victim’s wound is not life threatening, sources say.

After a month without any shootings in the 101 Precinct during October, there were at least three shootings in November – at Ocean Bay Houses, Ocean Village and at 711 Seagirt Boulevard.

Detectives are investigating Saturday’s shooting. There is no word on any of the other investigations.
