The Bay Ridge Community Council recently held their annual Fall Window and Poster contest. This was an amazing year of Halloween Window Paintings in Bay Ridge. Painting spooky scenes on windows started in the ’50s. Neighborhood-wide traditions and a strong sense of community involvement are what make Bay Ridge unique in its small town feel. Maria Makrinos chaired the Halloween Window Painting.

Visitation Academy’s students came in with two silver and two gold medals. The girls who participate enjoy it more each time and this year was an exceptionally beautiful day to be out painting windows.
