Baggage Inspector JFK

Elton Claude Hyndman, 72, a longtime Rockaway resident, died November 7.

Hyndman was born on September 7, 1938 in Guay-Guayare, Trinidad. He worked at John F. Kennedy International Airport as a baggage inspector. He became an American citizen in 2000.

Hyndman was preceded in death by his son, Jason.

He is survived by his wife, Gladys A Hyndman; sons, Charles and William; daughter, Deena; grandchildren, Ricky and Kne’Chelle Agers, Joy and Syni Heath; mother-in-law, Accola Mays and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jeremiah C. Gaffney Friendship Chapel, Inwood, New York. Disposition took place at St. Michael’s Crematory, East Elmhurst, New York.
