Support St. Camillus School

Dear Editor,

The St. Camillus Home School Association is having a Fall Fling Dance on Saturday, November 20, at Springman Hall. This event is being sponsored by the HSA and the proceeds from this dance will go to help Saint Camillus School. It’s events like this that help to keep the cost of educating our children at a reasonable level. Without events like this it will become too expensive to send our children to a Catholic school. Although it is the choice of the parents to send their children to a Catholic school, a lot of this is done because of the way our public schools are being run and the safety in these schools.

I am writing this letter and I hope that it is read by many of the past alumni that still live in Rockaway today.

This dance is one way to help us raise funds so that the cost of tuition can remain affordable to the working class peoplethat send their children to this fine school. So if you are able to attend this dance on Saturday the 20th of November, it would be greatly appreciated that you purchase tickets at the rectory or call the school and reserve a table.

Music will be provided by the Cunningham Brothers and there will be a buffet style dinner. Also this dance is to not be confused with the parish dance that is held the day after the Rockaway St Patrick’s Day parade. So please come out and show your support.
