BCAC Senior Shamrocks To Host Playoff Game

The BCAC Shamrock Senior football team traveled out to Glen Cove last weekend to play their last regularly scheduled game.

BCAC quarterback Andrew Conklin would move the ball well behind the offensive line of Bryon Collado, James Marotta, Brendon Dell and Elijah Dorta. Running backs Chris Manfre, Tom Kelly and Paul Yodice would battle for every yard they could gain in trying to get across Glen Cove’s goal line.

At one point, lineman Steve Ambrosino was placed in the backfield to run the ball in an attempt to get the Shamrocks the extra yards needed and put them on the board.

A tough Glen Cove defense, however, would not allow Broad Channel to get into the end zone.

On defense, Devon Rodriguez, Vincent Finizio, Zach Warner, Marco Minichino, James Lee, Jeremiah Jones and Kevin Dougherty would hold Glen Cove to 12 points in the first half and seven in second half for a 19-0 Shamrock loss.

The seniors ended the season with a 5-4 record and third place in the division.

The team will head into the playoffs on Sunday, November 14 at 1 p.m. as the Senior Shamrocks play the Farmingdale Titans at BCAC Memorial Field. The team encourages supporters to come on down to the field and cheer the boys on as they attempt to move on to the championship.
