Support The Theater

Dear Editor,

I just saw the Rockaway Theatre Company’s review show, “A Little Fright Music” which is their chance to showcase all their talent in a series of musical numbers, linked together by a theme. This year’s theme was Halloween. Having seen almost every Rock-away Cafe show that they have produced, and having enjoyed every one of them, I must say that this one was the most professional, most entertaining one I have seen. The musicians were onstage this time, which was an improvement on the sound balance, and they employed a multi-media technique, sometimes using clips from old horror movizes on a pull down screen.

There is only one weekend left, and it might be sold out, but if anyone has never come to this venue before, this would be a wonderful introduction to Rockaway’s own theater in Fort Tilden. We are so lucky to have this great showcase for local talent at an affordable price with free parking. I am truly amazed at the quality, level, and amount of real talent in our neighborhood.

This is Rockaway at its finest; let’s support this theater.
