Shamrocks To Host West Babylon At BCAC Field

The BCAC Senior Shamrock football Team travelled to Copiague last Saturday night to play against a tough Eagles team. Behind the offensive front line of Brandon Dell, James Marotta, Steve Ambrosino, Bryan Collado and Elijah Dorta, quarterback Andrew Conklin would move the ball across the field but Copiague would not allow the Shamrocks to cross the goal line.

The Shamrock defense would hold Copiague to six points in the first half due to the efforts of Paul Yodice, Tom Kelly, Chris Manfre, James Lee, Marco Minichino, Kevin Doherty, Vincent Finizio, Jeremiah Jones and Julian Verni. With only fifteen players available the Shamrocks played a tough game on both sides of the ball allowing only one more Copiague touchdown in the second half for a 14-0 Shamrock loss.

On Saturday, October 30 at 6 p.m. the seniors will be home to play West Babylon at BCAC Memorial Field.

This is the last scheduled home game for the seniors before they travel to Glen Cove the week after in their quest for a playoff spot.

For some of the boys, this will be their last opportunity to play in front of the home town crowd as they move on to high school football next year, so come down to the BCAC Field Saturday night to cheer the boys on and watch some Shamrock football.
