Ryan Rudden Roller Hockey Tournament

The Rockaway Rockies will be holding their annual Ryan Rudden Roller Hockey Tournament on Saturday, October 30 at the hockey rink on Beach 108 Street and Shore Front Parkway. The tournament will start at 9 a.m. and will feature teams from all over New York. Ryan Rudden was a Rockaway resident and member of the Rockaway Rockies when his life was taken tragically in a car accident.

In his name, the Rockies have held this tournament to raise funds for various causes including NYFD burn center and families in need. The proceeds from this year’s tournament will go to refurbishing the hockey rink on Beach 108 Street that so many of the children from the Rockaway and Broad Channel areas utilize.

There will be a party after the tournament at Springman Hall located behind St. Camillus Church on Beach 99 Street. All are welcome to attend to help raise money for the rink and have a good time.
