The supermarket located on Rockaway Beach Boulevard at Beach 73 Street stretches several blocks long and is one of several amenities to finally open at Arverne By The Sea. Residents were not able to shop until Friday morning but hundreds turned out for the grand opening festivities that included free food, a live band and ribbon cutting ceremony led by the new store manager, Vito Orlando.

Local politicians were in attendance with representatives from Stop and Shop and Benjamin/Beechwood LLC, the company responsible for building the Arverne By The Sea community.
