Dems Favor Pro-Abortion Bills

Dear Editor,

I would like to take a moment and share some thoughts concerning the upcoming elections. I have never seen a pro-abortion bill that even one Democrat has opposed. That includes President Obama, Schumer, Gillibrand, Pheffer and Cuomo. Even the Attorney General candidate Schneiderman has bragged that when he was in high school he took girls via van to get abortions.

This man considers that a praiseworthy statement?

In the past, if your daughter was caught smoking in school both she and her parents would get a stern admonition and a warning that suspension would be the next penalty. How times have changed. Forget the smoking. Now if she mentions pregnancy then your daughter just might be whisked away to have an abortion with you, the parents, no more the wiser.

How do we keep voting for this group of people who appear to hold such diametrically opposed views compared to the rest of us? I, for one, am sick and tired of them voting one way and then appearing at our doorstep as we kick off St. Patrick’s Day by celebrating the Eucharist. In addition, to the economic woes we are battling I ask that you contemplate this issue before you tally your vote.

I welcome a civil discourse. However, it would be more beneficial if the facts underlying my premise could be disproved.

DAVE HICKEY
