Senior Shamrocks Get Back To Winning Ways

The BCAC Senior Shamrock Football Team entered their home field last Saturday night determined to return to a winning form against Babylon. The offense would have a big night behind the front line of James Marotta, Elijah Dorta, Bryan Collado, Steve Ambrosino and Brandon Dell. Paul Yodice had big runs in the first and second quarters scoring three touchdowns from 20, one and 42 yards out.

Quarterback Andrew Conklin also put six points on the board on a 30- yard run in the second quarter. The defense anchored by Tom Kelly and Chris Manfre along with Kevin Dougherty, Jeremiah Jones, Zach Warner and Julian Verni, would hold Babylon scoreless for the first half.

The defense would also contribute two points to the score on a safety in the first quarter for a 26-0 halftime lead. The third quarter was all defense as neither team would score.

Fourth quarter action saw Quarterback James Lee move the ball using running back Marco Minichino to march across the field. Devon Rodriguez would pound the ball into the end zone from five yards out and again for the extra point adding seven more points for a 33-0 final score and win for the Shamrocks.

Injured BCAC Defensive End Tim Panetta was on the sideline along with a great hometown crowd to root the team on. The BCAC Senior Shamrocks are now 3-2 for the season and travel to Hempstead on Friday, October 15 for a 6:30 p.m. game.
