Ulrich: Pre-K Enrollment Deadline 10/29

Councilmember Eric A. Ulrich is reminding constituents that the deadline to enroll four-year-old children in Universal Pre-Kindergarten programs is October 29. New York City provides free universal Pre-Kindergarten for children who turn four-years-of-age by December 31. Seats are still available for Pre-Kindergarten programs at public schools and contracted early childhood community-based organizations. To find programs in your area that still have open seats, check nyc.gov/schools/prek or call 718-935- 2009. Openings are filled on a firstcome, first-serve basis. Ulrich said, “These programs offer an important head start for our children and also help parents provide a safe learning environment during the work week. I encourage my constituents to take advantage of this free initiative while seats are still available.”

To register you must bring your child and the following required documentation to the program for registration: proof of birth (birth certificate or passport), verifiable proof of residency (two documents) and immunization records.
