PHC Welcomes All City Ophthalmology

Dr. Freeley Dr. Freeley Robert V. Levine, president and Chief Executive Officer of Peninsula Hospital Center, is pleased to announce the addition of All City Ophthalmology Practice to the services provided at the Hospital Center. All City Ophthalmology Practice presently serves the Jamaica and Flushing communities and is now expanding its services to include the Rockaway community at Peninsula Hospital Center.

Dr. Douglas Freeley, senior ophthalmologist, has over 30 years of experience and specializes in pediatric eye care and eye lid oculoplastic surgery. Dr. Panus Romsaitong has over ten years of experience in providing comprehensive eye care and cataract surgery and Dr. Jannet Ung provides not only comprehensive eye care, but specializes in glaucoma, retina and cornea, cataract and oculoplastic surgeries. Laser treatments are also performed as part of the procedures for glaucoma and diabetes related diseases.

Dr. Ung Dr. Ung The ophthalmologists will be available for appointments Tuesday through Friday, with Monday being set aside for diagnostic testing. “We have found that setting aside one day specifically for diagnostics increases efficiency, lessens the waiting time for appointments and allows testing to be done with personal attention,” explains Dr. Ung.

“Eye care is an essential part of health care. We are very pleased to have such highly qualified specialists here at the Hospital Center,” says Levine. Dr. Freeley agrees.

“There is no question that eye care is a critical part of health care and we are delighted to be joining the team at Peninsula Hospital Center.”
