Breezy Point Arrogance

Dear Editor,

I was completely shocked at the Breezy Point security for their arrogance at having let a USMC soldier’s car be towed (with ID in the front windshield) on September 3, 2010 at 3:00 p.m.

The soldier, active and not retired, was given a pick-up pass to pick up friends at a bicycle benefit for area restaurants and bars. A Breezy Point security officer was asked if it was ok to park by the marine, he said, “Yes,”

Letters to our amazement the car was towed!

A $175 charge was ultimately covered by the friends of the United States Marine, including myself, a retired FDNY/EMS worker, a federal police officer and an NYC firefighter who witnessed the whole event. I think the security in Breezy Point should stop their “holier than thou” attitude before someone suggests a mosque be built in their community.
