Winning BCAC Shamrocks Keep Rolling

The Broad Channel Senior Shamrocks football team picked up its second win last weekend with a 26-6 victory over North Babylon, at home.

The Shamrocks would go up 7-0 in the first quarter on a quarterback sneak by Andrew Conklin and extra point pass to Chris Manfre. Great blocking by the offensive line of Bryen Collado, Brandan Dell, Elijah Dorta, Kevin Dougherty, James Marotta and Devin Rodriguez opened up plenty of holes for the running backs. Paul Yodice broke free for a 41-yard touchdown run. A 50-yard run by Chris Manfre, which was followed by an extra point run from Andrew Conklin, led to a 20-0 halftime lead for the Shamrocks.

Once again the Shamrocks defense would hold tough only allowing 6 points to North Babylon for the entire game. Contributing to this effort was Vincent Finizio, Jeremiah Jones, James Lee, Marco Minichino, Julian Verni, Zach Warner and Tim Panetta. These players had a great game on both sides of the ball at end.

The final score of the game would come on a five-yard run by Tom Kelly for a 26-6 final score. Next game for the Shamrocks will be at Brentwood on Sunday.
