From The Artists Studio
ARTSPLASH opened last weekend to a very large crowd of attendees. RAA was pleased to also welcome Assemblywoman Audrey Pheffer to the festivities. Entertaining at the reception were pianist Jackie Stellato; Dan Guarino, who played, sang, poetized and may have even danced, for all I know; Gary Russo; Danny Marsden, Arthur Skowron and the Sticker Dude. The Exhibitions Committee made everyone feel welcome with their marvelous comestibles.
The ARTSPLASH awards this year were judged by Ann Bragg of the National Arts League. RAA thanks Ms. Bragg.
The awards are as follows:
Best Oil – “Deux Beaux Chats” by Julian Caso
Best Watercolor – “Blew By You” by Helen Mc-
Best Acrylic – “Woman in a Flowered Dress” by
Best Photograph – “Lemonade Stand” by

Anne Francis Clinton, we are proud to say, was a student in RAA’s “High School to Art School” Program this year. Her double award-winning works dare to delve into social/political issues that confront our world. Renee Radenberg’s two winning works are mobiles.
Congratulations to the award-winners. Thanks to all the artists who submitted and to the very supportive community that comes to enjoy RAA’s exhibits, events and education programs. We couldn’t do it without you.
